The world of Gimle was originally intended to be a wonderful place, free from problems and dangers… well, unfortunately this vision has been distorted, as the lands of Gimle are filled with all kinds of hostile creatures and perils. Consequently, mankind had two options: to adapt or to die 💀 Fortunately, the brave survivors of the dreadful Ragnarök chose the first.
If you want to face the dangers, you better get to know them well – so says the old saying. So today we are going to tell you a tale about an incredibly dangerous and sinister creature. When you are within range of its sharp fangs or claws, know that you are in serious trouble. When the Vargr gets in your way...
You will easily distinguish Vargr from an ordinary wolf. It’s not just its enormous size and much more massive body. When you look into its eyes – the eyes of a descendant of the giant wolf Fenrir, as some say – you will quickly find out that you are in for a really tough fight. There is a frightening lust for blood in Vargr’s focused, cunning gaze. Its bristled fur and bared fangs could scare even the greatest warrior… which would be a huge mistake, as the beast can easily sense the fear of its victims.
Appearance
Vargrs in their appearance resemble wolves, but they are much larger, stronger, and more intelligent. One of their hallmarks is the thick fur around the nape, chest, and neck. Their eyes are yellow and shiny. Vargr most often has a black, dark brown, or white coat, depending on the subspecies and place of birth and residence.
Its length (without the tail) can reach up to 2.5 meters and the height up to 1.3 meters. The weight of this beast can reach up to 230 kilograms. It would therefore seem that Vargr is slow and sluggish… the truth however is quite different 🐺 Running away from Vargr is a very difficult task. Both during the run and fight, it is a very fast opponent – many great warriors did not even notice when its great fangs sank into their necks.
How to fight them?
Let’s start with the fact, that Vargrs are known to live in wolf packs, often in the role of the pack leaders. Packs consisting entirely or mostly of Vargrs are very rare due to their dominant nature. A single Vargr is able to defeat much larger and stronger creatures, however, their most deadly weapon is their ability to command other members of the pack. A bloodthirsty group following its leader can easily overwhelm any foe 😱
When the circumstances force you to fight Vargr, it is best to wear any type of armor available. The beast’s powerful jaws can simply tear an unprotected body apart. If you have the opportunity, take a few shots at the pack before it approaches you. Remember that Vargr is the most dangerous creature in the whole group – make sure to take care of it first!
