Hello there! The following series is a kind of journal of our adventure with developing games. If you want to take part in it and find out what exactly do we do to move our titles towards their premiers, check back regularly! Cheers!
Gimle: The Broken Prophecy
Over the past two weeks, the world of Gimle has been enriched with concepts of two new characters. In addition, our programmers have done a great job and implemented several key functionalities into the game. All right, let’s get down to business and check out all the changes, shall we?
Characters
Siv – A deeply religious woman and the mother of the main character. She is the widow of Agnar – Brand’s father. With the help of family and friends, she raised her son, whom she wants to ensure the best possible future.
As mentioned, Siv is a very religious woman. When Brand fell ill, she prayed to Odin every single day – just like when Agnar left the house to deal with his (often dangerous) duties. She tried to raise Brand in a similar way, so that he would always respect the gods.
Siv is also distinguished by the fact that it is not superficial. She can read people and look inside them. She tries not to judge anyone and always tries to see the good in people.
Quartermaster – this is the person responsible for supplying the troops, camp, or garrison – he takes care of providing food, tools, equipment and everything that could be useful.
The Quartermaster can sometimes prove to be a source of important information as his ear is open to every whisper and gossip. He is a rather busy man so don’t waste his time.
Mechanics and features
It wasn’t just our concept artists who were busy – the programmers weren’t idle either! During the last 14 days they have been working on: improving interactions in the in-game world, the proper use and operation of triggers, improving the combat system, main character movement fixes, implementing new AI statistics, and an inventory system.
As you can see, these two weeks have been very busy for us but hey! We are not going to slow down!
Builders of Greece
Now, let’s move on to our next game – Builders of Greece. As you know, no city-builder game can do without… well… buildings! 🙂 That is why our graphic designers continued their work on illustrating various buildings, including: Slaughterhouse, Marketplace, and Sculptural Workshop.
Speaking of which – the first posts from the “Architect’s Corner” series will be available soon on our steam page in the Announcements section. What is this series about – you ask? In short, we plan to describe all the buildings appearing in Builders of Greece so that each of you will have the necessary knowledge to build a great Polis and make it prosper as efficiently as possible.
