Hello there! The following series is a kind of journal of our adventure with game development. If you want to take part in it and find out what exactly we do to move our titles towards their premiers, check back regularly! Cheers!
GIMLE: THE BROKEN PROPHECY
Another two weeks, another Summary of Progress entry! We are glad to see you again, everyone! If you follow our social media channels, Discord server, or this devblog, you surely know that a lot of important things have happened since Part #12 We want to tell you all about them, so let’s get to the chase straight away, shall we? As always – we will start with the harsh world of harsh Vikings and their bloody, harsh adventures
Continuation of work on the core mechanics
The truth is we’d like to show you something more… spectacular (and of course, the time for that will soon come!) however this time, once again, we’ll focus on the coding work we’ve been doing for a few weeks now. We cannot stress enough how important this task is – thanks to remodeling and improvement of all core mechanics, Gimle takes on a completely new character and feeling. And just to be clear – we’re not talking about the vibe of the game itself! This one remains deeply dark, filled with the Nordic climate, and the ubiquitous terror – no worries there!
The changes concern elements such as movement, combat, interactions with the world and NPCs, looting, exploring, and many, many more advanced systems. Additionally, we are trying to implement the so-called identification and entities systems. Thanks to them, we will be able to freely create any standalone objects with which the player can interact. Once we have dealt with this task, we will be very pleased to show you the results of our work. Meanwhile… we’re getting back to coding!
Builders of Greece
We took a very important step forward this week. It took us some time to decide whether we would be able to meet the deadlines and deliver on our promises. Is our game advanced enough? Can we solve any unpredicted problems that may occure? And so… together with our team we answered YES and finally decided to reveal the content RoadMap of Builders of Greece! If by some miracle you missed this amazing news, it is time to catch up!
The RoadMap is a great motivator – we are not slowing down even a bit and continue our hard work on the Builders of Greece project. And you can see the effects below! Our game is constantly enriched with new characters, unique buildings, and cool features. We believe that we’ll soon be ready to show you them all in a brand new, totally awesome trailer. That would be something, right?
Born to conquer and obey your orders - meet Centurion
This is the third military unit that we present to you. Even a quick glance is enough to notice that this kind of warrior is much more advanced and better armed than the previously described Hypaspist and Psiloi
The Centurion definitely stands out from the crowd. You will recognize him by the shiny, ornate armor, shin guards, long cape, and closed helmet decorated with a plume. However, it is not his impressive appearance that scares his enemies the most. Centurion is, above all, a great, experienced warrior. With his beautiful golden shield and sharp spear, the Centurion can wreak havoc in the enemy ranks

The content ROADMAP is here!
As you can see, our content RoadMap consists of four stages. We tried to fill them with as many interesting events, news, and information as possible. We believe that thanks to such a clear plan, it will be easier for us to jointly build and expand our community, and wait for the game’s premiere with even greater commitment!
We have numerous plans regarding pre-release versions, amazing trailers, contests, and groundbraking news, so be sure to stay tuned! Meeting the deadlines set out in the RoadMap will certainly be a challenge, but we are pretty confident that we can cope with the task!
