Be sure to check out our Social Media

Hello there! The following series is a kind of journal of our adventure with game development. If you want to take part in it and find out what exactly we do to moveΒ our titlesΒ towards their premiers, check back regularly! Cheers!

GIMLE: THE BROKEN PROPHECY

It’s Friday… and you know what that means, don’t you? That’s right, it’s time for the Summary of Progress no. #2⃣3⃣! It seems like February passed very quickly… but you know what they say – when you are passionate about something and have fun doing it, time goes by really fast! Either way, another busy month lies ahead. It is worth mentioning that March closes the first quarter of 2023 and this means that we will soon jump to the next stage planned in our Builders of Greece Content RoadMap. So far, we manage to operate according to the schedule, which fills us with great joy and optimism. Will we be able to maintain such a good pace of work? Well, one thing is for sure – if your enthusiasm and support is as great as it has been by now, nothing will be impossible!

Slowly but surely - Gimle main mechanics revamp

As mentioned above, our main goal at the moment is to develop and release the Builders of Greece project. We still have a long way to go, but everything is going in the right direction. The same can be said about Gimle: The Broken Prophecy. It’s true, right now our work on this title is in a rather specific place πŸ€” but the tasks we are currently performing are essential to the development of this game. We don’t believe in half-measures and taking shortcuts, especially on something as important as core game mechanics that we’re currently reworking. You can be sure we will keep you informed of our progress in this matter! More news on the gloomy world of savvy Vikings are on the way πŸ—‘

Builders of Greece

All right, let’s move from the frigid lands of the north straight to sunny ancient Greece. It’s been very busy here lately. We learned a lot from the feedback you gave us on the demo version of the game, and now is the time to make numerous fixes, tweaks, and improvements 🧐 Our programmers and designers try their best to respond to your requests, suggestions, and solve reported problems. We believe that the next version of Builders of Greece that will fall into your hands will be exactly as you dreamed! And to make it happen, we had to address features such as…

The beauty of the city testifies the greatness of its ruler

Life in ancient Greece was full of challenges and dangers – disease, hostile invasions, famine, and incompetent rulers are just to begin with. This does not mean, however, that there was no place for beauty and art in the everyday life of the inhabitants of great city-states πŸ› It is said that the greatness of a ruler can be recognized, among other things, by whether he or she can make his city not only rich and strong, but also beautiful. That being said, let’s check how you can decorate your city to its honor and glory!

Our graphic designers prepared quite a wide range of wonderful decorations that can grace the streets of your Polis. Let’s see what we have here… ah! 🏺 There are some admirable statues depicting great warriors and other important figures from the ancient Greek world. There are also high colonnades, which are perhaps the most characteristic element of the architecture of that era. There are also various types of banners, braziers, and decorative platforms Of course, the decoration is complemented by elements of greenery – decorative shrubs, trees, and flower beds. It is only up to you what the capital of your empire will look like – will it be known as a center of culture and beauty? πŸ‘€ Or rather a stark, simple, yet powerful settlement?Β We’ll find out soon enough…

Surround your city with walls to keep it safe from harm

Since the dawn of time, humans have tried to protect their homes using various methods and systems. Moats, pits, traps, embankments, and similar structures can be very effective, but nothing beats the effectiveness of proven stone walls. It is the walls that separate and protect your city and its inhabitants from the outside world… if you so choose πŸ›‘ In times of peace, you can easily go beyond them using the gates! In case of danger, just close them and your walls will once again become a tight cover against enemies. How convenient! We believe that this will be a system that will be used by a lot of players, so we naturally put a lot of effort into making the walls look authentic and just plain nice πŸ˜‰
Building the walls will require adequate funds and resources, and the bigger your city is, the more of them you’ll need. However, you can believe us – they are worth the price. You cannot put a price tag on safety and peace, can you? 😁 Once you decide to build the walls, banners and other elements indicating your greatness will soon appear on them. The gates and square towers, characteristic of ancient Greece, perfectly reflect the military nature of these structures. Woe to those who choose to siege them!

Every citizen of your Polis can fight in its defense

In addition to the buildings themselves, our artists have also been working on characters that will inhabit and protect them. In Builders of Greece, every citizen of your Polis can take up arms and join the ranks of your army βš” That’s why for the last two weeks we’ve been working on female versions of the warriors who can defend your empire. Such units, of course, differ in appearance from their male counterparts. This means that they required a lot of work and changes to make them look authentic and dignified on the battlefield. The work is still in progress, so for now you just have to take our word for it… but we will be happy to show you some cool assets in the next part of the Summary of Progress series 😊

Let's check what our animators have been up to

This is our little tradition – at the end of each entry, we show you new animations that you will have the opportunity to observe while playing Builders of Greece. Being faithful to this custom, we want to show you the animations taking place in the Inn 🍺 The Inn is a place where your loyal subjects can grab a drink, meet their friends, and just have a good time. The employees of this establishment must therefore ensure that their cups are not empty! Just see how diligently they fill the clay cups and amphoras with delicious wine and refreshing water. Well, on a beautiful Friday like this, it would be nice to visit such a laid-back place, don’t you think? 😁
