Hello there! The following series is a kind of journal of our adventure with developing games. If you want to take part in it and find out what exactly do we do to move our titles towards their premiers, check back regularly! Cheers!
Gimle: The Broken Prophecy
Welcome to the next part of the Summary of Progress series! It’s hard to believe it’s been two weeks since part # 3… apparently, time flies quickly when you do awesome things 😉 All right, you are surely curious what we will present to you today. Well, the world of Gimle has once again been enriched with some interesting elements and details. Here they are…
An indispensable element of every RPG - the Tavern!
It is simply impossible to count how many amazing adventures started in the fantasy taverns. We know them as a hub where heroes, storytellers, villains and, of course, quest-givers meet! It is also a place where you can just relax and enjoy a good, hot meal after a difficult adventure. Naturally, Gimle also has its own atmospheric, Nordic taverns!
Our artists imagined a place that the inhabitants of Gimle would love to visit – a place full of fragrant meats hanging behind the counter, wooden barrels, chests, knotty chairs and tables… and most importantly people, bustle and loud conversations! Step inside and feel the atmosphere of a real Nordic tavern!
Combat system DEVELOPMENT
The graphic aspects, although really impressive, are not enough to bring the game to life. Our programmers have recently dealt with the hero’s behavior during combat. What does it mean? The new elements include features such as dealing and receiving damage, moving around the battlefield, new various animations such as attacking, defending, using special abilities etc. Moreover, from now on, enemies and the hero himself can also… well, die. This is a very important element in Action-RPG games, would you agree? 😉
Builders of Greece
Let’s move on to the second part of our post. Over the past two weeks, we have set ourselves the goal of preparing a few more buildings for your townspeople to build in your Polis. With each passing day we implement more and more features related to the construction and operation of buildings – we want to give players a really wide range of possibilities and choices, so that they can build their ancient city just the way they like. That being said – here are a few examples!
Watermill and Water Pump
You don’t need to be an expert in ancient history to know how important role water played in the lives of our ancestors. It’s obvious, that no life could survive without it, but water was also used to power some clever technologies, such as Watermill!
A flowing river, which is a natural source of energy, spins the wheel that feeds the mill, which allows for easier and more effective grinding of the grain. How smart! In Builders of Greece you will find many other similar solutions that have actually been used throughout history.
